A colored complex is produced through the oxidization of substrate catalyze by the enzyme which hence, indicates the presence of toxins.A spectrofluorometer is used to measure fluorescence emission when a fluorescent-labeled antibody is used.
Result analysis:
Results are read directly using an automated photometer (ELISA-reader).
A standard curve is plotted on semilogarithmic paper to find out whether the toxin is present.
